Dr. Stephen Lye is a recognized leader in the field of women's and infants' health. His research focuses on maternal and child health, including the mechanisms responsible for preterm birth, biomarkers to identify women at risk of preterm birth, placental development and pregnancy complications, and the developmental origins of health and disease. He is Associate Director of the Samuel Lunenfeld Research Institute, and Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Toronto.
