We are a flexible provider of translational research and related services to clients here in Toronto or around the globe. We support biopharmaceutical and biotechnology companies, medical device/diagnostic companies, researchers and external clinics.

Laboratory Services
MSS has one of the largest central laboratory facilities in Canada. We offer laboratory services in clinical testing, specialty and esoteric testing, assay development and validation, genomic services, and histology research services. Our core laboratory services focus on special chemistry, histology, molecular diagnostics, and access to microbiology and flow cytometry.
MSS offers a panel of more than 2,000 routine and specialty assays, and conducts more than three million tests per year. We operate leading-edge platforms to provide our clients with the latest technologies to advance their clinical development projects. Our wide variety of state-of-the-art instrumentation provides easy access to gold standard results at industry-leading turnaround times. MSS offers analytical services for conventional blood, urine and serum tests run on the most advanced automated reference lab equipment. Highly specialized immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, and molecular tests are also available to meet your customized research needs.
MSS complies with Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) principles for every project where required. Our facilities are audited by FDA and private regulatory agents regularly, with consistent success. Our accreditations include:

Research
and Biobanking
Through our laboratory services and network, we have strong involvement in the Toronto research community. We provide laboratory services to researchers at surrounding hospitals, the Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute (LTRI) of Sinai Health, and the University of Toronto.
Your research goals may not require all the effort and expense of a fully integrated prospective study. To assist you in validating a hypothesis or bolstering a study n-size, we offer customized sample collection through patient populations and biobanked/retrospective samples. We can provide access to highly characterized human specimens, collected according to strict Standard Operating Procedures and ethical guidelines, as well as providing individual project collection services.
